This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the Italian 1st Army reports heavy British movements and severe losses on March 6-7; that the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis expect an enemy attack in the next few days, from March 9; that Rommel disapproves of the reorganisation of the supply arrangements, on March 5; that Italian 1st Army attacks were defeated by the weight of the Allied artillery, on March 6; a list of the reinforcements to be shipped to Army Group Africa, on March 5; of the serviceable tanks available to Army Group Africa, on March 5; and of the tasks for the German Navy in Africa, on March 7; on the Mediterranean: that the GAF in Sardinia is to prepare for hard fighting against heavy naval forces, on March 8; that GAF Sardinia is to prepare for defences against an Allied seaborne assault including providing facilities for reinforcements from GAF Tunis, on March 9; of arrangements for GAF action against an Allied convoy, on March 9; that GAF unit I/JG53 at Bizerta has been placed at readiness to move to Sardinia, on March 9; that GAF unit II/Stuka3 has been placed at readiness to move from Tunisia to Sardinia, on March 9; and that GAF Sardinia is to attack Allied convoys on March 10; on Greece: that GAF bombers attacked partisans on Olympus, on March 5; on the Russian Front: that the Germans are advancing towards Kharkov, while elsewhere defending or withdrawing, on March 9; and on the Central Russian Front: the GAF report a Soviet build-up opposite the 2nd Panzer Army, on March 9.
