A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis is to continue its operations against the 8th Army, on March 7; that the Germans claim to have taken 2,500 Allied prisoners in the northern sector of Tunisia since February 26; and reports of the arrival of 37,000 Canadian troops; on the Mediterranean: that Kesselring orders an attack on an Allied convoy, on March 8; and that GAF ME109s were transferred for the protection of Palermo, on March 8; and on the Central Russian Front: that the GAF expects Soviet thrusts against Desna, on March 7.
