Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis report that 12,000 enemy vehicles are between Medenine and Zuara, and that enemy tanks and vehicles were attacked, on March 6; that Axis forces held west of Metameur, on March 6; Naval Headlines, covering that U-boats north east of Newfoundland are to attack a convoy, on March 4; and from the Japanese consul-general in Vienna, that Germany is mobilising men and women to the war industry to release recruits for the Russian Front to counter the Bolshevik menace, on February 27.
