A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a 5th Panzer Army return of March 3 on the losses and the booty taken during a northern Tunisia attack; and a report for March 3, stating that Allied resistance is intensifying; a 5th Panzer Army report for March 1 and its combat plans for March 2; a 1st Italian Army report for March 3, noting that Allied reinforcements are moving into the front line area; that Lieutenant General Cramer, the new Ground Officer Commanding (GOC) the German Africa Corps and previously commander of a corps on the Kharkov Front, was asked by German High Command on March 3 to send a comprehensive report to Army Group South on the conditions prevailing during the German withdrawal from Kharkov as Hitler had heard that there was chaos when the unified command and control totally failed there during the evacuation; on the Russian Front: aircraft reconnaissance reports of Soviet movements in the vicinity of the 2nd and 3rd Panzer Armies, on March 3; and of further Soviet advances.
