A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of changes in the front line in Tunisia as at March 2; of the flight schedule on March 2 for up to 50 German transport aircraft that are to deliver a battery of smoke mortars from Italy to Tunisia on March 3, with the German Air Force (GAF) to provide fighter escorts; of evidence for GAF shortages of bombs, other aircraft armament ammunition and anti-aircraft artillery shells, on March 1; on the Russian Front: that the Germans claim some successes in Ukraine, on March 2; and a situation report for March 1. 2201/T1 was extracted from this folder and sent to the Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) for an answer to the Prime Minister's (PM's) queries.
