Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa/the Mediterranean: of considerable Axis losses during Allied air attacks on Cagliari and Elmas, in Sardinia, on February 28; and a 1st Italian Panzer Army report for February 28, noting an increased Allied build up at the Mareth Front.
