Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German Air Force (GAF) in Tunisia report for February 24, including the withdrawal of the 10th and 21st Panzer Divisions; that Rommel orders the 5th Panzer Army to occupy and hold the previous front area, on February 23; and that the maximum number of Tiger tanks is to be withdrawn from the 5th Panzer Army to support Rommel's new plan, on February 23; and on the Russian Front: that Soviet advances continue, on February 24.
