Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Rommel takes over the command of elements of the advanced HQ of the 5th Panzer Army in addition to the 10th and 21st Panzer Divisions for a planned attack, on February 21; on Norway: of German Air Force (GAF) plans to attack, from bases in Norway, an Allied northern sea route convoy, on February 23; Naval Headlines; and on the Russian Front: a summary of German evacuation by air from the Caucasus during February 1943.
