Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Russian Front: that on February 21 Hitler considered the Kerch task (i.e. the evacuation of German forces from the Taman Peninsula) to be the most important task for the German Navy since Norway; a German Air Force (GAF) situation report for February 22, noting that weather conditions in the Kerch Straits are impeding German air and water movements; and a general situation report for February 21, on the expected resumption of the Soviet offensive at the Novorossisk bridgehead.
