A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of the German Air Force's (GAF's) recce results for February 21 and plans for February 22 including the deployment of a fighter group to Kairouan, attacks against Tripoli and against an Allied eastbound convoy west of Algiers; a GAF situation report for February 21, stating that Allied forces are withdrawing slowly towards Tebessa; that the Axis Panzer advance continues, on February 21; a Tunis Air Corps' report on the advance of the Axis Panzers, on February 20; the 21st Panzer Division's tank return for February 20; on the reorganisation of the Axis troops on February 20, with the Panzer Army Africa formally dissolved and all forces resubordinated to the 1st Italian Army, with Rommel in supreme command; and on the Russian Front: of GAF reconnaissance plans for February 21 in the face of Soviet advances.
