This file includes the following reports on the Russian Front: of Soviet advances resulting in further restriction of the 17th Army's bridgehead, on February 17; and a situation report for February 18, detailing Soviet advances including the capture of Pavlograd; on North Africa: that the German Army authorities instructed that in the event of an Axis evacuation of Thelepte all aircraft there are to be destroyed, on February 18; on Yugoslavia: that German/Croat operations against Communist partisans were restricted by inadequate forces, on February 18; Naval Headlines; from the Turkish consul in Moscow, relating a prediction of further Soviet successes and Germany's downfall, on February 15; and from the Greek ambassador in Ankara, reports of February 16 and 17 on Bulgarian peace feelers and the presence of Bulgarian and Hungarian agents in Turkey.
