This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a Panzer Army situation report for February 16, describing the Allies as holding out in the Djebel Lessouda area; that the German Air Force (GAF) Tunis Air Corps is prepared to support a further Axis advance; that units are to operate from Kairouan or Tunis against Tebessa and Le Kef; that airfield detachments are ready for Thelepte and Sbeitla, and are clearing mines from the Gafsa airfield; and that the Germans captured Feriana and fighting is in progress around Thelepte, on February 17; on the Russian Front: that the Soviet advance and German retreat continues, on February 16; that the GAF 4th Air Fleet is short of fuel, with fuel trains urgently required, on February 16; that GAF units are preparing to deploy to Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhe, on February 17; and of Russian pressure and advances throughout the entire Eastern Front, and that the German Army continues in retreat, on February 17.
