Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: of orders for the Panzer Army in Africa from the Comando Supremo for further conduct of operations against Sidi Bou Zid, Gafsa and Tozeur, on February 11; and of the German-Italian Army's response to the Comando Supremo's directive giving alternative proposals, on February 11; on the Russian Front: giving a delineation of the German front line; of an intention to retreat to the Taman bridgehead; that Krasnodar was evacuated, on February 11; and a report from the Kursk-Kharkov area, stating that Kharkov is being defended against crushingly superior Soviet forces, on February 14.
