Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: reports (not included); on the Russian Front: that Soviet troops with light tanks landed west of Novorossisk, establishing a bridgehead, on February 4; of the 4th Air Fleet's operational orders for February 4, being to support the defensive battle of the 4th Panzer Army by destroying the Soviet advance against the Rostov bridgehead, and across the Donets north of Artemovsk; and that the German Army Group 'A' HQ is at Simferopol, as of February 3; on Eastern Europe: a situation report on Yugoslavia for February 4, stating that mobile forces of the SS Division are advancing eastwards on the road to Krupa; and that units surrounded in Benakovac are being supplied by air.
