Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports from BONIFACE on North Africa: that units of the German-Italian Panzer Army defending the Tatahouine area are to withdraw to an area west of Matmata, on February 2; a situation report from the German Air Force (GAF) at Gabes for February 2, stating that the Allied forces have pushed through Sened, and that their spearhead is 20 km west of Maknassy; of serviceable tanks in the 5th Panzer Army and the 21st Panzer Division on January 28; and of a 'catastrophic' shortage of motor transport engine oil in the GAF, on February 2; and from BONIFACE on the Russian Front: that the 8th Air Corps is seeking airfields suitable for glider landings in Kuban, on February 2.
