A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Russian Front: a 4th Air Fleet situation report for January 18 for the Donets and lower Don Sectors; on North Africa: of indications of a probable paratroop operation in Tunisia on January 18; from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a summary of the progress of the war in Russia, with there being no expectation of Russian collapse; and of Soviet relations with other countries, including Japan, on January 10; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, giving a German contact's view of the Russian campaign, and of North Africa, on January 13; and from the Turkish ambassador in Vichy, on the conduct of Italian troops in the south of France, on January 16.
