This file includes the following reports on Northern Europe: of the 5th Air Fleet's operational orders for combatting blockade runners in Skagerrak, on January 13; on North Africa: a revised report on the losses caused in the raid on Castel Benito, on January 13; that no butter or dripping is available from Germany, which is considered important to the maintenance of the health of the troops, on January 12; a 5th Panzer Army report for January 12, describing harassing Allied artillery fire and localised activity, and including a request for artillery and infantry ammunition; a 5th Panzer Army report for January 11, with local actions being detailed; that Rommel's Aide is flying to see Hitler in East Prussia, on January 11; a German Air Force (GAF) report for January 14 anticipates that the Allied offensive is to start on January 14-15; and of orders for a concentrated attack on Benghazi on January 14.
