A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of orders from the Panzer Army under Rommel for preparation for reconnaissance far to the west, on January 11; of an urgent request for flak protection for a railway bridge north west of Gabes that was badly damaged in an Allied air raid, on January 11; a report from Rommel to the Italian Marshal Bastico on occupation of the area south of Gabes by German supply troops, on January 11; and of documents captured from British aircraft, on January 12.
