This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Italian high command in Libya is to move to Tunisia and disband, on January 9; that Marshal Bastico orders the military command of Tripolitania and the Italian Air Force to defend the Saharan Front, on January 10; on the Southern Russian Front: the German Air Force (GAF) group in the Caucasus warns against Soviet paratroopers, on January 8; an evening situation report for January 9, describing withdrawals; and that the Manytsch dam was blown up; and a garbled GAF report of fighting on January 9 in the area north of Lake Manych to the Don and Donetz.
