A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Italian high command in Libya is to move to Tunisia and disband, on January 9; that Marshal Bastico orders the military command of Tripolitania and the Italian Air Force to defend the Saharan Front, on January 10; on the Southern Russian Front: the German Air Force (GAF) group in the Caucasus warns against Soviet paratroopers, on January 8; an evening situation report for January 9, describing withdrawals; and that the Manytsch dam was blown up; and a garbled GAF report of fighting on January 9 in the area north of Lake Manych to the Don and Donetz.
