This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of Allied air attacks on Tunisia, on January 8; a German Air Force (GAF) in Africa evening report for January 8, stating that a thrust by enemy armour was successfully engaged by the GAF; and GAF Africa's evening report for January 7, claiming successful strafing attacks by the GAF; on the Southern Russian Front: on the GAF's orders for January 8, including that advancing Soviet forces are to be destroyed; and of the GAF's orders to German and Roumanian anti-aircraft units on January 8, including to assure the defence of Novocherkassk, but to prepare to move westward.
