A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the 5th Panzer Army's day report for January 6, stating the situation near Jefna has been cleared up; with the Prime Minister's (PM's) comment on this; and Hut 3's reply, from January 10; from the Italian ambassador in Tokyo, describing Japanese preparations for action in Manchuria, on December 31; from the Turkish ambassador in Vichy, relaying Afghan information on Japanese policy, on January 8; and Naval Headlines, covering E-boat operations in the English Channel and the North Sea; and shipping to and from North Africa.
