Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Southern Russian Front: a naval situation report for January 5, noting that the withdrawal is proceeding according to plan, and that a further transfer is imminent; on North Africa: that the German Air Force (GAF) seeks to take over Fortress aircraft from the Italians east of Kebili, on January 6; that GAF Gabes was instructed that on the orders of the Fuehrer all U.S. PoWs are to be taken to Germany, on January 6; and a previously omitted part of a GAF report from January 5 stating that French and Algerian troops west of Rebaou do not wish to continue fighting.
