Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: a Commander in Chief (C-in-C) of the German Air Force (GAF) general report, for January 6, stating that the 1st Panzer Army is withdrawing in the face of Soviet attacks; on North Africa: that Rommel seeks Kesselring's intervention to ensure he is supplied with weapons before heavy fighting in the near future, on January 4; that Rommel was informed that Hitler agrees with Il Duce's instructions to him and Bastico, on January 3; a 5th Panzer Army report for January 4, noting positions being pushed forward; a Panzer Army under Rommel day report for January 5; a GAF report of January 6, including secret service information on Allied reinforcements and moves in Tunisia; that a German attempt to obtain intelligence from PoWs in Tunis by use of a fake PoW fails and is to be discontinued, on January 5; and of the GAF in Tunis' intentions for January 7, including a fighter attack on Bone harbour.
