This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the 5th Panzer Army's day report for January 2, describing Axis advances north east of Dj El Chirich; a German Air Force (GAF) in Africa report on Italian strength and a statement that all their aircraft except for fighters are being withdrawn from operations, on January 4; that GAF Africa orders the supply staff at Gabes to limit the items that get sent on to Tripoli, on January 4; of the German view that an attack on Gafsa-Gabes is not immediately impending, as of January 5; Naval Headlines, covering Axis shipping to and from North Africa; from the Japanese minister in Madrid, a call for improved Axis military cooperation, on January 2; 1915/T1 was sent to the Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) (see 1976).
