Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of arrangements for regulating supplies for the Panzer Army under Rommel via Tunisia on December 26; an air situation report highlighting that Kairouan airfield was to be developed by means of blast bays but work was hindered by ineffective arab labour, on December 28; and Kesselring reports that the Germans and Italians in Tripolitania are to pool their fuel supplies, on December 28; on the Russian Front: that 50 bombers were sent to southern Russia on December 18 for use as transport aircraft, from December 28; Naval Headlines for December 28; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, describing the views of Ribbentrop on the war situation, as of December 18; and from the Turkish minister in Madrid, on Spanish-Portuguese defence discussions, on December 28.
