Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that an alarm reported at 1803 is believed by the German Air Force (GAF) to be false, with no sightings having been confirmed; on the Russian Front: that the 17th Army and the 1st Panzer Army are engaged in heavy fighting in the Caucasus, on December 18; a 4th Air Fleet report for December 17, describing fighting in the southern area; and that the 4th Air Fleet was unable to obey instructions to provide Flak officers since it was already short of them, on December 18.
