A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that all supplies, including motor transport fuel for Tripoli, are to be sent via Tunis and Gabes; a German Air Force (GAF) morning report for December 18, stating the Italians report that Allied armoured cars have been sighted south of Misurata and near Bir Dufan, but that a lack of fuel prevented their pursuit; and of arrangements for the defence of Gabes.
