Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Rommel refutes Kesselring's allegations of the misuse of fuel, on December 16; a Panzer Army report for December 16, noting that an Allied attempt to cut off the Africa Corps' line of retreat was defeated; detailing heavy Allied air raids on Tripoli harbour and Castel Benito airfield; and giving confirmation of the identity of Allied formations; and a German intelligence report on U.S. and Algerian forces in Gafsa, on December 17.
