This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of the Panzer Army's tank, vehicle and weapon strength as at December 14; that Kesselring's staff instruct the 5th Panzer Army to take the initiative in southern as well as northern Tunisia, on December 13; that Allied raids caused damage in Tunis harbour and Sfax, on December 15; a 5th Panzer Army report for December 13, noting enemy air attacks; of the dispositions of the German 20th Flak Division at Bizerta, on December 14; a Panzer Army report for December 14, covering heavy fighting by the rearguard holding the Allied attack, and that withdrawals are planned, but the fuel situation is serious; and on the Southern Russian Front: an evening report for December 14, stating that the Germans are fighting heavy defensive battles.
