Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: of a German Air Force (GAF) instruction on an area prohibited for flying around Naples, on December 14; on North Africa: that GAF fighter forces are to be prepared for the protection of Tunis and Bizerta harbours, on December 14; a GAF Africa report for December 14, describing the Panzer Army's withdrawal, and the Allied air force being very active; and a Panzer Army report for December 12, covering the start of the 8th Army's offensive, a German withdrawal as the fuel situation precludes mobile operations, and that a stand is to be made at Buerat.
