Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German report from Gabes for December 10; a 5th Panzer Army report for December 8, describing continuous rain, and that the disarmament of the French is proceeding smoothly; that the German Air Force (GAF) at Bizerta is unable to operate because of bad weather, on December 10; a German report on the railways in Tunisia, from December 1; that the GAF in Libya are to take precautions against enemy air attacks and landings, on December 10; a GAF Africa evening report for December 10; that the GAF at Castel Benito urgently requires aviation fuel from Gabes for use on December 13; and that the GAF at Castel Benito was short of aviation fuel, as of December 10; on the Mediterranean: that the GAF 2nd Air Corps is to concentrate its attacks on harbours and supply ships, on December 10; and on the German Navy, that British agents from a submarine have been captured in Gironde.
