Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: Kesselring reports on the situation in Tunisia, on December 5; a message from Mussolini to Imperiali saying that the battle near Bizerta is one of the decisive battles of history, on December 5; a report by the German Air Force (GAF) for December 6; Kesselring reports that heavy weapons are to be brought into Gabes from December 6 to 7; a report for December 6 of Allied and Axis dispositions and of Axis intentions; that Kesselring orders that Tunis and Bizerta harbours should have adequate defences against low-level attack, on December 5; that a shortage of aircraft fuel persists in Libya, as of December 5; on the Panzer Army's perception of Allied positions on the evening of December 5; that the GAF command at Gabes learns that fuel for the Panzer Army is being despatched by rail, on December 5; that the Panzer Army was informed of the weapons and fuel to be sent, on December 5; and a German naval report for December 4 to 5 for the Atlantic, Baltic, Black Sea and Mediterranean.
