A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army is to be supplied in part via Tunis, on November 24; that Rome informs the Panzer Army that because of the situation at Tripoli supplies will be via Tunis, on November 24; of a German Air Force (GAF) Tunis call for support from Sardinia in air attacks, on November 26; GAF Gabes reports a difficult situation on November 25; a German naval report on Tunisia for November 26; of the GAF in Tunisia's operational intentions for November 27; that the GAF are to attack Bone and Philippville on November 26; a GAF evening report for November 26; that the Panzer Army has withdrawn an element to Tripoli to rest, refit and help with unloading; that GAF Africa requests a soap allocation for 20,000 men, on November 25; on the Panzer Army's supply situation as of November 24; that Axis units have been forced back, with German troops being reformed and used for unloading ships; that Rommel complains about inaccurate fuel returns and threatens action against his unit commanders, on November 25; that the German 90th Corps asks for the evacuation of French troops from Tunisia because of their unreliability, on November 24; that the GAF are to transfer stukas and fighters to Gabes on November 27; the German XC Corps reports enemy attacks in Tunisia on November 24; of a minor tank engagement, with a GAF air convoy being attacked on November 23; that Kesselring disagrees with Nehring's pessimistic assessment of the Tunisian situation, on November 26; of GAF Tunisia's intentions for November 26; and reports on the situation in French North Africa, covering November 24-26 (extracts).
