Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Nehring gives a pessimistic forecast on the possibilities of holding Tunis and Bizerta with his present forces, on November 25; a German Air Force (GAF) Tunis report for November 25, including attacks on advancing enemy forces; that GAF Tunis requests night fighters as attacks are expected on Tunis and Bizerta on the night of November 25-26; of the Panzer Army's tank strength on November 23; and an optimistic report by Kesselring on the situation in Tunisia, as of November 24; on the Southern Russian Front: of activity by Roumanian, Italian and Hungarian forces, on November 25; and Naval Headlines for Mediterranean operations and shipping in the Mediterranean.
