Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Nehring was ordered to have Italian forces block the approaches from Sbeitla and Gafsa, on November 25; that the German Air Force (GAF) were attacking enemy tanks from Beja on November 25; from the Japanese minister in Madrid, a survey of the war situation and Spain's position, on November 21; that the Japanese ambassador in Berlin has not seen Ribbentrop because he is too busy with the French and Italians, on November 21; and from the Turkish ambassador in Tokyo, on Japanese difficulties in prosecuting the war, as of November 23.
