Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Keitel informs Rommel on November 22 that Hitler and Mussolini have agreed that Rommel must hold the Agheila - Marada line at all costs, and that all possible reinforcements are to be supplied including German Air Force (GAF) support; on the Russian Front: details of German, Italian and Hungarian combat operations; that Romanian forces are to be resubordinated to the 8th Air Corps which is to airlift supplies to surrounded Axis forces, on November 22; and that GAF transport aircraft are unable to supply fuel to the German 6th Army in the vicinity of Stalingrad, on November 22; and Naval Headlines, covering German, Italian and French activity.
