This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of German Air Force (GAF) flight plans for November 24, and the restoration of the situation at Kairouna airfield; a GAF situation report for November 23; that the GAF authority at Gabes has had the governor arrested after armed French police fled on November 23; that three Vichy government representatives disappeared after flying into Tunis on a German aircraft on November 22; that GAF Tunisia urgently requires sufficient support to operate five airfields, on November 23; and an Italian source reports [Allied] sabotage detachments to be en route from Kufra to the coastal area, on November 23; from Tokyo to the Japanese ambassador in Vichy, on future Japanese policy towards France, from November 21; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, providing an update on the war situation on November 19, that two additional German divisions are to go to Tunis, and giving criticism of the French; and 111413 (see under 1527).
