A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis are instructed to take measures to protect aircraft on the ground, on November 20; that the GAF were warned of a hidden pistol found on an English parachutist, on November 20; that the Germans are asking for personnel to be air transported to Bizerta, on November 20; that a German Ramcke force is west of Agheila, on November 19; that an agent of the Grand Mufti is to visit the Bey of Tunis to recommend fighting for the Axis, on November 20; and reports from an agent in Tunis for November 20 (extract).
