Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German Air Force (GAF) estimate of Allied aircraft, on November 19; Italian agents report a concentration of Allied paratroops in French North Africa, on November 19; that GAF Tunis is instructed to take measures for the protection of aircraft on the ground, on November 20; a German Navy report of cargo en route to Bizerta, on November 19; that an Italian vessel will sail to Trapani for anti-submarine duties, on November 20; a GAF North Africa report for November 20; a GAF Tunis report of an air attack on Bizerta on November 20; that supply staff at Buerat are making requests to Tripoli and the Panzer Army for fuel; that the GAF are sending fighter aircraft to Gabes on November 20; the GAF report the arrival of Italian forces at Gabes on November 20; the Germans complain that unloading at Bizerta is jeopardised by a lack of lorries and personnel on November 21; and a German general situation report for November 20.
