Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Kesselring tells Rommel that the air ferrying of army fuel is no longer possible, as of November 18; that German Air Force (GAF) support of the Panzer Army is restricted by a lack of fuel; that the GAF ferrying fuel to the Panzer Army suffered considerable losses on November 18; of a request for protection for aircraft ferrying fuel to the Panzer Army, on November 18; of the location of the Panzer Army's battle HQ, on November 16; of a suggestion to the Panzer Army of a replacement for Lungerhausen, on November 17; the GAF report aircraft losses at Magrum on November 18; a report of Panzer Army casualties for November 2-18; a German report on the situation in Tunisia, including that a French division is to be attacked on November 19; that GAF attacks on Bone harbour are proving costly, on November 18; a GAF report on the Tunis situation and their intentions for November 17; of a GAF attack on Bone harbour on November 18; that the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) in Chief South orders the destruction of the forces at Bone, on November 18; part of a report by GAF Tunis for November 18; a GAF Tunis report for November 18; that GAF Bizerta calls for oil to be sent by air, on November 18; on details of Ju-52 passenger and cargo flights to Tunisia, on November 18; a report from Gabes from a German, possibly a member of the armistice commission, for November 17; on the German occupation of Tunisia, on November 18 (extracts); and on France: a German message that Laval has asked for a new discussion with the Fuehrer and that Petain has granted him full powers, on November 18.
