Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Kesselring informs the Italian Governor General in Libya of the impossibility of reinforcement in the African area, and undertakes attacks on Allied movements from Crete; the Italian minister in Dublin comments on the Allied war strategy, on November 13; the Chilean ambassador in Rome recommends the closure of the Consulate in Genoa, on November 13; the Turkish minister in Madrid comments on German interest in Spain, on November 13; and the Turkish ambassador in Berlin reports on consternation caused by the war in North Africa, on November 14.
