Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on France: the German secret service reports a meeting of the French Council of Ministers to consider Laval's proposal for recognition of a state of war with the Allies, on November 16; on North Africa: that the delivery of fuel to Barce is not practicable because of the proximity of Allied forces, on November 15; that the retreating Panzer Army was attacked by Allied bombers, with Allied forces not advancing in the expected direction; on North Africa: that German Air Force (GAF) airfields are lacking flak protection; and that the Lederer Division has occupied high ground to the west and northwest of Bizerta, closing all the approach roads and the railway.
