This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Panzer Army is considering the possibility of evacuating Benghazi on November 17; a Panzer Army report for November 15; that Allied forces are in pursuit of the 90th Light African Division through Martuba; that a critical fuel supply is holding up the Africa Corps; and that the withdrawal of baggage and columns is impeded by road congestion; a report from Rommel to Hitler on the fuel situation, for November 15; that ships are being rerouted to Benghazi; and of a Panzer Army request to Italian General Headquarters (GHQ) for all available troops to be sent to Marsa El Brega; a German Air Force (GAF) general situation report for November 15 covering the Russian fronts, North Africa, and France, including bomb incidents at Lyons and Marseilles, that the Italians have taken over the coastal stretch east of Hyeres, and that in Tunis the French have been charged with the defence of the western frontier against the U.S. advance; and on the Mediterranean: of German Admiralty instructions regarding the treatment of French warships and merchant shipping, on November 15.
