Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Tunisia: that the German minister Rahn is due in Tunis; and that the French Admiral Platon is carrying orders from Vichy to the French resident in Tunis; on North Africa: that the Italian Air Force is unable to meet its commitments because of a low serviceability rate on November 14; and that Rommel is to be in Maraua on November 14; on France: of instructions to the German Air Force (GAF) on the attitude to be taken to the French Air Force and anti-aircraft force, and that French flights out of France are to be prevented, from November 14; on Eastern Europe: that the German tanker Ossag was torpedoed in the Black Sea on November 14; the Argentinian chargé in Berlin reports Italian demands at the Munich Conference, on November 12; and the Chilean minister in Berne reports German views on the North African campaign as of November 12.
