Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the German Navy find the French in Tunis refusing absolutely to cooperate, on November 12; on German naval arrangements in Tripoli and Tunis, for November 13; that the German Air Force (GAF) are to occupy Gabes airfield on November 14; the Panzer Army reports the loss of German artillery and Italian battalions at Halfaya, on November 12; of the Panzer Army's arrangements for the evacuation of Benghazi, on November 13; Naval Headlines, covering the Tunisian situation; from the Turkish ambassador in Vichy, on France and the North African situation on November 12; on the Mediterranean: that the GAF claim damage was dealt to the aircraft carrier Argus on November 10; and on German claims of ships being sunk by submarines, on November 13.
