This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of a German flotilla heading to Bizerta, on November 11; that an Axis convoy is due in Bizerta on November 12; the First Sea Lord's (1SL's) reply to the Prime Minister's (PM's) query on naval tasking; from the Spanish Foreign Ministry to their ambassador in London, that Spain denies Axis pressure to provide passage to German forces, on November 10; from the Japanese minister in Vichy, relating the Axis response to Allied operations in Tunis, on November 10; and from the Chilean ambassador in Rome, on Italian fears that a catastrophe in Africa will cause the fall of Mussolini.
