A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of a German flotilla heading to Bizerta, on November 11; that an Axis convoy is due in Bizerta on November 12; the First Sea Lord's (1SL's) reply to the Prime Minister's (PM's) query on naval tasking; from the Spanish Foreign Ministry to their ambassador in London, that Spain denies Axis pressure to provide passage to German forces, on November 10; from the Japanese minister in Vichy, relating the Axis response to Allied operations in Tunis, on November 10; and from the Chilean ambassador in Rome, on Italian fears that a catastrophe in Africa will cause the fall of Mussolini.
