Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: Naval Headlines; from Himmler's representative in Vichy on November 11, that the Germans are moving into unoccupied France, and that the Vichy cabinet instructs their armed services not to oppose them; an Axis note of November 10 that the French government should allow Axis forces to land in Tunis; that 150 Axis aircraft landed in Tunis; that a French Air Force commander defected to the Allied side; and of a split in the Vichy cabinet on the way ahead and relations with Germany.
