Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of the shipping arrangements at Benghazi on November 10; that German troops and anti-tank guns are to go to Tunis on November 11; a German Air Force (GAF) report on land and sea operations in Algeria for November 10; that the GAF based in Sicily are to attack Algiers on November 11; and that the Germans were doubtful late on November 10 whether the local authorities in Tunis would collaborate with them, with a motor torpedo boat flotilla remaining in the outer harbour.
