A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the Germans were driven back by the Allies, are short of fuel and ammunition and are being subjected to intensive jamming of their communications; that 50 German Air Force (GAF) transport aircraft are moving fuel from Benghazi to the front as at November 8; of the Germans' realisation of not holding Cyrenaica, on November 8; on the prospects of setting up a new supply base; on North Africa: that the stocks of aviation fuel at Benghazi are to be withdrawn on November 7; on plans for Kesselring's HQ to be withdrawn to Greece, on 8 November; from the Italian minister in Kabul, on plans for India, on November 7; from the Italian consul in Palma, that there are no orders from Spain for special measures in the Balearic Islands in the face of Allied operations in Morocco and Algiers, on November 8; and from the Turkish minister in Madrid, on the Spanish reaction to the Allied landings in North Africa, on November 8.
