A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: on the state of organisation and cohesion of the German troops flooding back into the Sollum-Halfaya area on November 6; that the Africa Corps has broken through; and that the evacuation of Mersa is probable; on the Mediterranean: the German Air Force (GAF) report an Allied convoy dividing up; and that Elmas is to be used for landing aircraft, on November 7; on North Africa: on reinforcements and supplies; that the road south west of Matruh is completely blocked; that preparations are being made for the evacuation of Tobruk, on November 8; and of Kesselring's exhortation to GAF units in Sardinia and Sicily, on November 7.
